So we are on week 6 of having my 57 yr old mother living with us and I feel it taking its toll on us all. It's kind of like the week at the beach when its a Sat. - Sat. rental and by Tues. everyone is desperately searching for their own piece of quiet and tranquility to no avail. Yea that's where we are!!! In these times it's when I am reminded why I left home and moved out on my own. She has had a cold this week -weekend and has been home instead of at work or out and about so with her staying in our living room (b/c all of our rooms are occupied w/ kids) it has Rebecca and me searching for the last bit of our home that is sacred.
It is when you get to this point that everything starts to get on your nerves from not looking for her own residence to using the last of the laundry detergent and not replacing it. I struggle to dig down deep and remember that I am to help her get back on her feet with the love and compassion of Christ, but it is soooo hard to do sometimes. I know that we are not the only ones in this situation. What to do, what to do? Casting Crowns says: "Love them like Jesus, carry them to him. His yoke is easy, His burden is light!!
This whole blogging thing is very therapeutic!!!
